Als kwaliteit er toe doet! • Wenn Qualität záhlt! • When quality matters!

By levelling the surface, not only will you increase the lifetime of your arena, you will also ensure that stability is preserved. For optimum maintenance we recommend that the surface is levelled at least twice a week, although obviously once a day is even better.

Proper maintenance is crucial!

Purpose-built surfaces for equestrian sports are here to stay. Purchase is just the start; maintenance is equally important. Proper maintenance is essential if you and your horses are to benefit from the arena surface in the long run.

Avoiding the risk of injuries

Horses often have an unbalanced gait when walking on a poorly maintained surface, and this poor balance will inevitably causes them unnecessary injury. Waves are created underneath the top layer of a poorly maintained arena. These waves cannot be spotted with the naked eye, but the trained ear can detect them through the ‘clanging’ of the arena leveller. The arena leveller is firmly attached to the tractor, and with every bump, no matter how small, the leveller forces itself into the ground. This means that the arena leveller scoops up sand rather than displacing it. In this way the action of the leveller more or less ‘mops’ the surface in the same way as one would an ice rink, following the tractor in a smooth and fluent movement.

Proper distribution of sand

The correct arena leveller will ensure that the surface remains truly level, i.e. that excess sand is picked up and released where it is required. The top layer must first be slightly loosened so that it can then be firmly consolidated.

Benefits of a flat riding surface

By regularly levelling the surface, not only will you increase the lifetime of the arena, you will also ensure that stability is preserved. For optimum maintenance, we recommend that the ground is levelled at least twice a week, although obviously, once a day is even better.

Using a drawbar, the EquiCombi arena leveller can also be towed by a quad, wheel loader or car. In the course of a demo we can assess which type of leveller is most suitable for your arena.
